Keynote Presentations

Keynote presentations will be one hour each, which includes time for discussion.

Oral Presentations

Oral presentations are allowed 15 minutes plus 5 minutes for discussion.

The lecture theatre is equipped with a PC (Windows XP) and data projector for Powerpoint presentations and a full PA system. Please bring your talk on CD or USB stick. It is possible to accept Mac Powerpoint presentations although these may need some attention to display correctly so please ensure these are uploaded to the PC as early as possible.

A technician will be available during registration, coffee breaks and lunch time to assist you in uploading your presentation onto the lecture theatre computer. Please ensure that your presentation is uploaded well in advance of your session.

Posters

The recommended size of the posters is A0 (84.1cm wide x 118.9cm high / 33inches wide x 46.75inches high) in portrait orientation. The size of the poster panels is 2m (high) x 1m (wide). A0 size posters will only fit on to the panel in portrait orientation, although A1 sized posters (59.4cm x 84.1cm or 23.5 x 33 inches) may be hung in either landscape or portrait orientation.

Poster sessions are held at lunch time on each of the three days in Cripps Hall. Presenters are asked to hang their posters between 10.30am and 12noon. Velcro tabs for hanging posters will be available. Please do not use any other method of securing the poster (such as blu-tack or pins). The poster boards are numbered - please use the board which corresponds with you number your poster has been assigned in the programme.

Posters must be removed by the 5pm on Thursday and Friday and by 3pm on Saturday.

Presenters are expected to be at their poster for the duration of the poster session.
